Your First 7 Days in Rankry

This is a simple plan for your first week in Rankry. It moves from understanding your baseline to shipping a first improvement and confirming that it moved a number. The goal is to leave the week with a clear baseline, a short list of fixes, and one change already in progress.

  • A day-by-day first week
  • The output you should have by day 7
  1. Day 1. Finish onboarding and run your first report. Read your Score and per-model Visibility. See Read your first report.
  2. Day 2. Review Compete. Note the competitors with the highest win rate and the prompts where they beat you.
  3. Day 3. Review Sources. List the domains that cite competitors but not you.
  4. Day 4. Run the AI Readiness audit and read the top findings.
  5. Day 5. Open the Action plan and pick two or three high-impact tasks.
  6. Day 6. Use Content or your own team to draft the first page or fix.
  7. Day 7. Publish the change and note which prompts and metrics it should move.

A clear baseline Score, a short list of priority fixes, the competitors and sources to target, and one improvement in progress. Track the next report against this baseline.

AI answers shift over time, so allow at least a few reporting cycles after a change before judging its effect.

Weekly suits most teams. Use daily monitoring in Prompt Lab for priority prompts during an active push. See Daily vs weekly monitoring.

What if nothing changed after my first fix?

Confirm the page is crawlable in the AI Readiness audit, then check whether competitors strengthened at the same time. Improvement often takes several cycles.
