Competitor Tracking

Competitor tracking shows which competitors AI engines recommend in the same answers you compete for, how often they beat you head-to-head, and where the gap is widening. Rankry scores each competitor the same way it scores you and reports the results in the Compete view.

  • What data competitor tracking uses
  • Where to find it
  • How to interpret it
  • Best practices and limitations

For every tracked prompt, Rankry records which competitors appear, in what position, and whether they were recommended over you. It scores each competitor for Visibility, Position, Sentiment, and Diversity, and computes head-to-head results.

Open the Compete view from the sidebar. It shows a leaderboard, momentum, head-to-head comparisons, and which models prefer which brands.

Look for competitors with a high win rate against you, then open the specific prompts where they win. Those prompts, paired with the Sources gaps for the same competitors, are your clearest targets.

  • Choose direct, same-category competitors for the most useful comparison.
  • Work the prompts where a single competitor wins repeatedly, rather than spreading effort thin.
  • Pair Compete with Sources to see not only who wins but why.

Competitor results vary by model and over time, like all AI answers. Read the trend, and confirm a competitor’s gain is real across several reports before reacting.

Base tracks 5 competitors per project and Pro tracks 10. See Add competitors.

Yes. Competitive standing can differ sharply between models, so Rankry breaks it down per model.
